Buda Cafe- CLOSED

Looking for something different in the city? Just one block south of the accessible Yonge and Finch subway station is located one of Toronto's most popular tobacco-free shisha bars! Family-owned for over 10 years, Buda Cafe offers appetizers and dessert while enjoying a variety of shisha flavours around a hookah authentic to Iranian culture.

Buda Cafe's accessibility is impressive based on the size of its interior with the only issue being the washroom. The entrance is at sidewalk level with a door width measuring at 35 inches. Indoors the tables are kept sparse to leave enough space in between. All tables are standard height of 29 inches.

The only washroom in the space is wheelchair accessible, however the walkway past the bar to access it is 23 inches. A solution to this issue is that staff will accompany patrons to a back door that allows entrance into the space right beside the washroom. This entrance has a slight incline with two doors measuring 35 inches.

This option has you exiting the cafe which may become an issue during the winter months. The washroom itself measures 60x60 inches, offers one grab bar, a floating sink and no automatic features.

If visiting, make note of the walls covered in napkins that the owner has collected over the years portraying art from regular customers. You never know, your stencil might make the cut ;)

Buda Cafe is only open in the evenings after 5:30pm daily. If driving, there is usually street parking along Yonge St north or south of the cafe with no payment required after 10pm.

Let us know of any other Shisha bars in the city that may be accessible!
