You know when a restaurant discusses their accessibility on their website, they are serious about it.

Nota Bene offers two separate dining areas which are separated by stairs, but each level is accessible. The bar/hostess level is accessed through the main entrance off of Queen street, which measures at 40 inches. There is no bathroom on this level, but it is definitely an option when considering somewhere to go for a quick bite before the opera.

The main dining room with accessible washroom options can only be entered through the adjacent building (Mackenzie Investments/Starbucks) which has an automatic door opener and a small ramp. Once on the appropriate level, a staff member from the restaurant can open the doors. Note, these doors are usually locked and are only used for accessibility purposes. Once inside, the space is elegant and large! I really liked the row of banquettes as they offer a large space both between and behind tables. All the tables are 28 inches in height.

Bathroom facilities? An accessible stall is available in each of the men's and women's room. Each stall has a 32 inch door, two grab bars and a comfortable 72x72 inch dimension.

There are quite a few parking options in the area including a public parking lot right across the street. There is also metered street parking on St. Patrick, but be prepared to spend on the higher end due to the restaurant's close proximity to the Four Seasons Centre. The nearby accessible Osgoode station may be a better option just east of Nota Bene.

Reservations highly recommended here- the friendly staff are definitely open to accommodating everyone that visits. Oh, and the food and drinks aren't half bad ;)
