Coffee Tree Roastery

2412 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6S 1P9

This Bloor West Village cafe just celebrated its 26th anniversary and its not surprising why it has withheld the test of time. Coffee Tree roasts ethically-sourced, artisan coffee in-house daily and proudly offers their customers specialized roast-to-order luxury brands. Most of their business is actually selling fresh-roasted beans for anyone to make at home! Research online tells me that this place is Toronto's very first on-site coffee roastery, which makes me appreciate its accessible space even more.

The front entrance is welcoming measuring at 34 inches wide. There is no automatic button, but the door was wide open on my early spring visit. There is one sidewalk level patio out front and an inaccessible patio in the back. I didn't mind, however, as I found the staff to be incredible friendly indoors!

There are approximately 10 standard height tables available inside with 40 inch pathways throughout the area. The washrooms consists of separate female and male single rooms which ultimately act as unisex. Both include no automatic features, but there is one grab bar, a floating sink for leg space and straight handles on the door. The door width measures at 34 inches.

Coffee Tree is located next door to the accessible Jane St subway station which is great because the Bloor-Danforth does not offer many barrier-free stations. Bloor West Village also offers several outdoor Green P options.
