As mentioned on AccessTO in previous posts, the beautiful Distillery district is anything but accessible. With its cobble stoned streets and lack of parking, I sometimes wonder why I go back. But then comes along another incredible restaurant from the El Catrin people and I find myself anxious to get home to encourage our readers to visit the Distillery!

Cluny is a massive, modern french bistro that offers a variety of seating options indoors and outdoors (weather permitting) all on one floor. The main entrance does not have an automatic door opener which is a little unfortunate as the large wooden doors are quite heavy. The double doors each measure 34 inches wide. The wrap around patio is visible from the entrance which seats 100 and is heated, however it is currently closed for the winter. There is access into the restaurant from several doors along the parameter.

Indoors, the majority of tables are standard height and there is a clear pathway to the washrooms. The floors are tiled with no level changes. There is a wheelchair accessible stall in each of the gender specific washrooms. Stall details: change table, 2 grab bars, 35 inch door, coat hook 30 inches from the floor, no automatic features

An added bonus to this lovely space was that Cluny just recently opened a private dining area which is equipped with bar access and can accommodate up to 80 people. The space is as bright and lavish as the rest of the restaurant :)

The Distillery District is not on the subway line. There is sparse street parking on Mill St, so I would suggest the large outdoor parking lot on Parliament St.
