With the holidays around the corner, I know how hard it is for many event planners to find an affordable, accessible space to host a party. Pogue Mahone offers a 250 person capacity venue that is one level and located in the center of the downtown core! If already wishing for summer, there is also a 150 person capacity patio out front!

Pogue Mahone's main entrance is off of College St., but there is also an entrance inside the large Shops of College Park building that can also be accessed from Bay St. The College St. entrance does not have an automatic button, but if entering from the Shops of College Park there are several automatic door openers to use (even one right beside the main entrance on College St.). Door width is 35 inches.

Indoors there are several seating options with the majority of tables standard height (28 inches). I thought it quaint that there are 2 separate alcoves for you to eat with a small group of friends if reserved. Wide pathways are present throughout.

Now lets talk washrooms: the female washroom is unfortunately not accessible. Although it is on the main floor, it is incredibly small with thin door widths and no automatic features. The men's washroom contains two stalls that are spacious. The door width is 34 inches and the space in front of the toilet is 45 inches x 34 inches. There are no grab bars within the stalls. Two floating sinks are present right outside the stalls.

So ladies, what do you think about asking to use the men's room? Should I have not even included this location?

If visiting Pogue Mahone's make sure to go on a night where the Toronto Maple Leafs are playing because this pub randomly picks a table and "burns the bill!"

If taking transit, Queen's Park subway station is accessible and a few blocks west. You can find parking below the Shops of College Park if driving.
