Looking to cozy up in a bar this winter? Check out Duke's Refresher. It has a great vibe, over 40 beers on tap, delicious menus for every meal, and they play great music! If you love it, you can even join their mug club and keep a mug with your name on it behind the bar!

The entrance to Duke's Refresher is on side walk level on Gerrard street. There is a small patio on the left with some stylish chairs, awaiting some summer sun. There is an automatic door opener to enter the restaurant, and a 38” wide ramp with railings on both sides. The seating options vary with some bar tables (39” high), shared tables (27”high) and some private dining tables (29”high). All the antique style chairs in the restaurant are removable and you can have your choice of seating. There is clear floor space between tables, unobstructed hallways, and no level changes on the flat smooth floor. There is however, an inaccessible seating space upstairs.

All of the washrooms at Duke's Refresher are private rooms, on the main floor at the back of the restaurant. The accessible bathroom has a door width of 35.5”, and has an accessible space inside. Although there are no automatic features in this stall, there are two grab bars by the toilet, ample space under the sink (which is 33”high and 17” deep), and the soap and hand dryer are easily accessible.  This bathroom is also equipped with a baby change station.

The closest accessible subway stations are Queen’s Park or Dundas station.  If you are coming by car, parking is available at the corner of Bay and Gerrard in an outdoor paid lot, or paid underground parking in the Aura Building next door to the bar on Gerrard.

Let us know what you think of this awesome bar! Did you get a personalized mug? Also if you go one night for dinner/drinks – get a breakfast club stamp so you can get discounted brunch the next morning! Apparently the discount depends on the location of the stamp on your body. Where would you put your stamp? Would you put it on your forehead for a cheap brunch?
