One thing I love more than finding new neighbourhoods in Toronto, is finding new authentic pizzerias in Toronto! Fratelli Village Pizzeria is a family run joint located at the corner of O'Connor and St. Clair Ave. East and they pride themselves for making great pizza and accommodating anyway they can for their patrons.

Upon arriving, I noticed two entrances into the restaurant from the parking lot. Although neither are officially the front door, they are available for those that need an accessible entry way. The owner of the restaurant just asks that you call beforehand so that he can have them open. Both are 34 inches wide, no automatic door opener. To note, their is no wheelchair accessible parking spot offered beside the restaurant, but it is free to park.

Once inside, the space is open with wide pathways between the tables and the kitchen. There are many tables and all are standard height. The friendly staff were quick to direct me to the accessible washrooms which are tucked just beside the front door. Both female and male washrooms have an accessible stall- 36 inch door, 2 grab bars, 72x72 inch space in front of the toilet.

Regarding transit, the restaurant is not on the subway line. As mentioned, there is a large free parking lot beside the restaurant but there is not a designated accessible spot. There is a clear path from the parking lot to the accessible entrance, however, in case a drop-off was available from a friend or WheelTrans!
