Snakes & Lattes Annex is a fun, unique venue offering food and drinks alongside a library full of tabletop games. Snakes & Lattes is a great spot to have fun with family and friends, whether you’re feeling nostalgic and dive into a classic board game or in the mood to try something new, there are games here for everyone!
Snakes & Lattes Annex has two entrances with the accessible entrance being at 602 Bloor Street West. This entrance has a small built-in ramp and an automatic door opener. The width of the door is approximately 34”, and leads to an open, unobstructed space inside.
Snakes & Lattes Annex has a large and open concept space. All routes throughout are unobstructed and greater than 54” in width. There is clear 360 turning space and sufficient room between tables to allow a mobility device to navigate comfortably. There are three options for seating: tables with removable seating, tables with removable seating on one side and bench seating on the other, and banquettes. All tables are 29 inches in tall. The chairs do not have armrests.
There are two all-gender individual bathrooms located on the ground floor. The doors are push to open with a lever handle and no automatic features. Upon entering, there is a large unobstructed space between the toilet and sink. The height of the sink is 32 inches from the floor with clearance underneath, and the soap is located just to the right. The toilet is surrounded by two slip resistant grab bars and is a manual flush. Space between the toilet and the opposite wall is somewhat tight which may make transfers difficult for some individuals.
As for the games, for only $6 per person, you can play all the games you can possibly want! If you are having trouble deciding what to play, just ask a resident “Game Guru” for assistance. Snakes & Lattes’ staff is friendly and always willing to help you find the perfect game. They also boast a full food and drink menu, which includes appetizers, meals, café drinks, and alcoholic beverages. And as the name suggests, they serve lattes too!
Print menus are on letter-sized paper, but a digital copy of the menu can be displayed on an iPad with zooming capability. While gaming, music plays in the background at a low volume; however the space is a large and open, which may lead to louder crowd noise at busy times. Snakes & Lattes is well lit during the day but does dim lighting somewhat at night.
Snakes & Lattes Annex is located a block from Bathurst Station, an accessible TTC subway station. If coming by car, there is a metered parking lot behind the venue off Markham Street; however, it’s worth noting that this lot does not have an accessible parking space. Metered street parking is also available along the smaller streets in the area, but these spots are limited.
