In need of a new brunch spot that will meet all your expectations? Then Eggspectation is the perfect place for you! Offering high quality food and an eggxellent variety to choose from. Whether you’re craving breakfast or lunch, something sweet or savoury, something to snack on or something filling, Eggspectation has it all!
Eggspectation is accessible through its back entrance, which is located inside of the Bell Trinity Square building (483 Bay Street). Although there is no automatic for the restaurant door itself, the approximately 35-inch door is typically propped open. The floors are level throughout the whole restaurant, and there are wide routes with ample 360 turning space. The enormous windows at the front allow natural light to radiate through the entire space. When we visited Eggspectation on a Wednesday afternoon around 2:30pm, it was well lit with music playing softly in the background.
The standard tables are around 30 inches tall and there are a variety of seating options! The sturdy wooden chairs have no armrests and are 18 inches tall, whereas the comfortable booths are 20 inches tall. There is also a mini bar off to one side, with bar tables measuring 44 inches in height and bar seats 30 and a half inches tall. Their juice bar serves fresh hand-squeezed orange and grapefruit juices, as well as their famous in house blended smoothies made with real fruit. They also have an espresso bar with drip coffee made of high quality Arabica beans and espresso coffee roasted in Italy and prepared traditionally!
To reach the washroom, you have to pass through a non-automatic door into the hall where they are located. Although it might be a bit tight when you enter the 3-stalled washroom, the accessible stall has plenty of space! There is a 30-inch diagonal grab bar, and a 24 inch horizontal grab bar behind the toilet. The stall also has a hook that is 42 inches off the floor. The automatic sink has a good depth to prevent splash back and is about 32 inches tall with lots of clearance below. Both mirrors above the sink are tilted downwards. There are two soap dispensers, one that is 48 inches off the ground and another at 34 inches.
There are three options for parking: Green P parking, located at 110 Queen Street West (close to Nathan Phillips Square), Impark, located at 483 Bay Street, and Yonge Parkade, located at 220 Yonge Street. If you are heading to Eggspectation by subway, the closest station is Queen, which is wheelchair accessible and about 3 to 5 minutes away from the restaurant itself.
