Located downtown at Brant and Adelaide, Impact Kitchen has opened their second restaurant dedicated to serving wholesome, nutritious, and delicious food and drink. To eat, Impact Kitchen offers a selection of gluten-free power bowls, baked goods, soups, and breakfast and brunch offerings. To drink, there are a variety of cold pressed juices, smoothies, coffee and espresso beverages, and special wellness lattes. Impact Kitchen offers paleo and vegan options to satisfy all dietary needs and preferences.
Both of Impact Kitchen’s entrances measure 39” wide, are threshold-free and equipped with automatic door openers. Once inside the restaurant, there is a large space to turn and maneuver mobility devices and browse the extensive menu and prepared goodies. The flooring is smooth tile with no thresholds or changes in texture.
For seating, there are a few options to choose from. There are many standard height (29” high) square tables with bench seating and removeable chairs. There are also a few round tables measuring 29.5” high with bench/booth seating and small removeable stools. For those that prefer to be seated higher up, there are also counter top bars with stools looking out onto the street or the espresso bar.
The menu is displayed on screens around the restaurant, with a large, easy to read font and colour scheme. The menu is also easily accessed online on the restaurant’s website. Impact Kitchen is bright and spacious with many windows providing natural light and a colourful but clean ambiance.
The accessible private washroom has an automatic door opener and plenty of space to move around. The toilet has a horizontal grab bar behind measuring 35.5” high and L-shape grab bar to the left measuring 30” high. The sink is 28” high with an open space beneath it. The sink has a lever handle and soap dispenser have lever and pump handles and there is a low hand dryer available beside the sink.
While Impact Kitchen does not have an accessible TTC station nearby, it is easily accessible by streetcar via the 504 King ,514 Cherry or 510 Spadina streetcars which all have stops 1-2 blocks away.
