Without a doubt, the biggest selling point for this casual Italian restaurant is its beautiful sidewalk patio facing trendy Queen St. West. It is spacious and inviting, and is a great representation of the design layout indoors.
You are welcomed into Destingo through two large 34 inch doors. The modern rustic space has floor to ceiling windows which let in a lot of natural sunlight. Several standard height tables are available with an abundance of space in between to make navigating to the bar or washroom extremely simple. The whole restaurant is one level with smooth floors throughout; no carpet.
Destingo offers 4 individual washrooms that are extremely spacious (approx. 80x60 inches), but only the last room has 2 grab bars beside the toilet. All the rooms are equipped with a straight handle, 30" floating sink, and automatic lights and hand dryer. All entrance ways are 34" inches wide.
Destingo is not on the subway line. If driving, do not count on street parking so an outdoor Green P on Richmond St. and Gore Vale Ave 0.4 km might be your best option. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are accepted for any time of the day, but a seat outdoors is not guaranteed so come early!
Overall, I think Destingo brings something fresh to the neighbourhood and the customer service was impeccable. Destingo's simple delicious food, as well as their sidewalk patio, offers the city's fashion district a little piece of European class.
