Farm'r is a bright, cheerful accessible space that serves great food. Not only does it look and taste great, but the majority of the food is sourced from Ontario growers. Plus everything is scratch made by dedicated cooks using seasonal produce. What’s not to love?

Farm'r is entered from 140A Esplanade Street through two 36” wide doors (no automatic door opener) with a ½” lip transition at the entrance. Aside from 3 small bar height tables (40” high) near the entrance all seating is accessible. It is divided between two communal tables. There is plenty of room for moving and turning wheelchairs or scooters. There is also a place for storing scooters in the restaurant- just ask the friendly staff!

The patio was not open on the day of my visit due to the winter season. However it consists of picnic tables with attached bench seating. An umbrella stand near the patio entrance can be used to store canes.

The floor is concrete, but there are anti-skid mats to provide traction if the floor becomes wet from melted snow or rain. The single, accessible washroom is near the back of the space and easy to find. The door measures 34 inches wide and is operated by an automatic door opener or a lever handle. The 2 grab bars beside the toilet had a textured surface. The sink has plenty of cut out space to allow a wheelchair to slide under and the paper and soap dispensers are very close to the sink. There is also a baby change table 31” from the floor. 

There is online ordering with pickup. Delivery can be arranged via Uber Eats or Foodora and catering is also available via Foodora or Platterz.

In regards to parking, there are two Green P accessible parking locations at 37 Queen St. E. and 2 Church St. If taking TTC,  there is the East-121A Fort York-Esplanade towards Distillery via the accessible Union Station.
